My friend has a 1988 roosevelt d mint dime he thinks may be worth something I told him that most likely was about 10 cents he thinks otherwise. This is coin like 900000000000 now and I'm getting really fuststrated with this any know anything that could help lile that its not or is an error

To CCF! This is Environment Damage. It's not an error as your friend thought. You're correct. It's worth 10 Cents.

I agree that it is most likely environmental damage. It looks like there may be some bubbling on the obverse from high heat, but the pics are pretty bad.

Thanks for the help guys I tried to explain the who like concept of what a double stamped coin is as well as the fact the die is indeed one whole piece so that only one portion of the coin having a double stamp and not the rest of it is pretty much impossible if it were double stamped the words would have a shadow like effect depending on how it double stamped but its about as easy as explaining quantum physics to a 5 year old....on second thought that might actually be easier lol sorry for the picture quality I used my rear phone cam which produced some actually decent pictures but they were to large so I used the sites crop function to make them uploadable which severly reduced the quality. For a site like this you think they would up the limitation on the picture file size to a min of 1mb due to the nature of the topic here where detail is stressed over
