I found this penny that shows sharp edges on various areas of the coin obverse and reverse. Was wondering about the striking. First time posting...thank you.

First of all it's a CENT, not a penny.
Second, what you are seeing is handling damage and not by the Mint.

Either cent or penny is considered correct.

This does appear to be post-mint damage of some sort.

With Bobby. Anyway, I think your coin was heated with a torch or something, because the coin has a melted appearance to it, like if someone burned it. It's Post Strike Damage, and not an error. It's worth face value, since it's a damaged coin. I would like to also say To CCF!
