This is one of a bunch of error's that I have. It is missing half of the lettering on the reverse, in the center of the coin. I know what you are saying, wear! I am not so sure about that as it appears that the letters were never their in the first place. Also on the Obverse the L is partially missing and In God We Trust is strange. D mint make is Off.

I believe this is either from a weak strike, or grease strike through, possibly a combination of both.

It was Struck Through Grease a little bit, causing the devices to be weakly struck. http://www.error-ref.com/struck-thr...-grease-oil/
