Hey y'all, I came across this coin last week and I'm having trouble identifying it. It features King George III but it looks like its dated 1701 which isn't possible since He was born in 1738. Perhaps the date is 1791? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I know the pictures are crappy but I hope they are good enough. Thank you in advance :)

They are called "Conder" tokens, after the name of the original man who cataloged them. They were private issued "good for" tokens worth half Penny or one Penny of value...issued 1780's -1800's.

I don't think that one is a Conder token. It looks like one of the Gaming tokens made in the 19th century in loose imitation of a Spade Guinea from the 18th century. They often feature George III's head on the obverse and a spade-shaped shield on the reverse. They are made of brass. The dates used were pretty random 18th and sometimes 19th century ones and often, as here, do not tally with the monarch depicted.
There are a few collectors for them but this one looks to be both a very common design and in very poor condition, so virtually worthless.

Agreed - it is a gaming token.
