I have no expertise in this series ... simply a lot of coin experience which guides my comments - as follows:

I question the authenticity of the coin - there is no reasonable explanation that I know of for the reverse raised object the extends from the Eagle beak and upwards.

The XF or so apparent circulated surfaces are well known in other series as a 'mask' to hide the fake details.

Sorry - my view is not authentic - an expert on the series could change my mind.

Well for starters it's missing the S mint mark.

The mark on the reverse is incuse, not raised. It looks as though something the size of a dull pencil point was dragged across it under high pressure.

The reverse mark looks like a gouge and not raised. Only a photo shot at an angle could confirm that. The coin shows circulation and with the damage makes this nothing more than a melt value bullion coin.
Sharper close up photos needed to confirm if the coin is fake or authentic.

The diameter of the coin is 1 5/16" (no metric ruler in the house.) Sorry, I don't have anything precise enough in the house to weight it accurately.

This is part of an inherited coin collection - don't really know anything about its origins. Hopefully these additional pictures help.
