Although nothing compares in size to the FUN show and recent RCNA, PCGS was swamped with business at this show. Left 20 or so notes for grading on Thursday early, promised Saturday to their credit received at 1.30 an Sunday. Even at high show prices most were willing to pay, Apparently my order was not the last they still had hundreds more to do, there must be a business opportunity for coin dealer in Ontario to be their dealer, most of the collectors that I talked to was willing to pay show grading fees due to possible border shipping issues. None in Ontario but TCNC in Quebec is listed as an authorized PCGS Currency dealer.
"Dipping" is not considered cleaning... -from PCGS website

PCGS is a different company from PCGS Currency, under license to the big coin company, but both the Fun show and RCNA was very busy foe these graders

How much did they charge to grade each note? Is there a discount for quantity? What does the site charge compared to "high show prices?" (Just curious as I wish to get the majority of my world notes graded by either them or PMG, in case I make the next RCNA).

24 hour express is 200, regular notes to 500 value 40 bucks, errors was 100 bucks and they were charging Canadian funds and over 500 value was 60 bucks, although I didn't ask saw one dealer hand in must be over a hundred units so there must be a volume discount

Thanks for the info (seems rather steep compared to BCS!)

This was one of the amazing fact, even at these prices there was many collectors willing to use their service thus the long delays if you have really expensive or unique currency that could have border service problems would justify this pricing. Obviously I was wrong, one of the Canadian TPG also had a table at this show but it was not nearly as busy

Obviously I was wrong, one of the Canadian TPG also had a table at this show but it was not nearly as busy Five to ten years ago we used to debate whether to TPG our notes but I believe this has now become the norm. TPG notes translate in complete convenience/trust of marketing online slabbed notes versus raw. Business is obviously brisk; collectors don't seem to mind the steep pricing as well. I myself used to be completely against TPG notes but have been slowly converted by purchasing too many overgraded/processed notes, which has cost me a lot more (in the long run). I find myself purchasing more TPG notes (& wanting to slab my raw collection). You mentioned that PCGS seemed busier than their CDN competition. That is sad but most likely due to the fact that A) there will be a large number of American coin collectors/dealers more familiar with the PCGS brand, plus B) CDN's who may wish to skip the US exchange/border/postage ordeal you mentioned. C) I also suspect collectors perceive the US standards to be slightly looser/more forgiving (which may be important for world note collectors).

Simply as in coins too the rest of the world collectors doesn't seem to accept our Canadian TPG, so if the aftermarket for your notes are not mainly Canadians it's just smart to use one of the two main US, TPG even though it's costly. BCS is a great tough grader but outside of Canada that's another story

I don't think the Canadian Grader was BCS.
I may be wrong but it was CCCS.
