Hello everyone!
I Recently inherited what I was always told was a Spanish cob from the Mel Fisher fleet from my grandfather. It looks authentic but he was always one to tell tall tales. Any help would be greatly appreciated. The wrap to be 14 karat gold as well. Sorry if photos are poor, had issues with the image uploaded.
Thanks for the help!

to CCF!

It looks good to me, but I'll let the others chime in. Looks like it's been exposed to saltwater for a period of time.

Does anyone know what period this is from? Or any resources I can use to try and identify.

I am not one of them, but since nobody else has chimed in, I would guess Philip II. A weight would be helpful for the denomination, but probably not possible in your case, so at least a diameter might help.
Here is an 8 Reales of Philip II with similar design elements and legends for comparison. https://www.coinarchives.com/e8bb1a...age34654.jpg
