A Coin, A Token Or A Charm? Id: Japanese 4 Mon, 11 Wave Subtype

If real, it's a Japanese 4 mon, 11 wave subtype.

This type was made for over a century (forgot the exact dates, but something along the lines of 1700-1850), and there are lots of varieties that I don't know much about.

The sheer amount of field dots makes me worry a bit, but this might be just the terrible original quality; the apparent flan void helps that theory - a charm probably wouldn't be made that sloppily.
