It seems to me that my 1952s has 2 strange things happening. On the face above the date I see a letter and a number L4 or it could be a 15. On the obverse side along the out edge there appears to be a series of letters. Is this possible or is it a transfer from other coins or what? Any answer would be try helpful and appreciated.

More pics would help, but I am thinking it is a case of Pareidolia.

Try to post pics of both sides of the coin. Also, the front is the obverse and the back is the reverse. When you said letters on the edge on the obverse I'm assuming you meant the reverse between the wheat stalks and the rim correct? It's hard to tell but it could possibly the result of a clashed die I'm thinking

To CCF! I don't see anything unusual. Looks like a normal coin.
