Recently, I met with someone who had some "old dollars" that he just had to show me. Three 179x flowing hair dollars, two Seated Liberty dollars, and two Trade dollars. All fake! I think he really thought he was going to score. Unbelievable! He'll have to find someone else to buy those from him. I proceeded to to buy all the 90% junk silver at a little under spot. One of the Walking Liberty halves was in a very old flip. Fortunately, it wasn't the "bad" plastic ... so not hazy... and has beautiful luster. It is beautiful ... perhaps MS-64 to MS-65. Had he not tried to sell me fake dollars... I would have gladly paid him quite a bit more for that half dollar. I also picked up a bunch of Wheat Pennies... in one holder there were two pennies. The one you couldn't read the date one was a 1914-D ... score! I didn't know until I got home. There were his grandfather's. He must have hid it for a reason. Report this Post to the Staff
