In the past I've been primarily a world type coin collector, but here recently my fondness for US coins has increased. And with that, I've tried to become more knowledgeable on coin grades. The descriptions given in RedBook and on this forum are great, but I still I have trouble. Without having two or three coins of the same type side by side, it's hit or miss with determining a grade.
Is there a site out there that has pictures along with the description to guide beginners on grading coins.
If not does anyone have 20 different LMC's that you could post from AG to proof? I'd really appreciate your help.

Just get a copy of Photograde, it has written descriptions of each grade as well as black & white pictures. Well worth the investment.

I would recommend two books on grading, Photograde and ANA Grading Standards.
