I use Photobucket.

Once the image is uploaded into photobucket, the image is displayed as a thumbnail. There are four choices underneath. Click on the text box next to the HTML version. You should see a mini pop up next to the box that say "copied"

Then just paste into a post by using the right click on your mouse and viola...preview to make sure it worked.

I think the actual size of the picture depends on the original size of the photo taken, which may be more of a camera question that I can not help on

Hope that answers your question,,,

Well your first mistake was listening to me...

You actually use the IMG box for this site, I think I use the HTML for ebay.

Sorry

well it worked! but picture still not big. I've got to figure out how people do that. I have seen posts where when you click the picture another frame comes open (its says close at the top) and the picture gets so much bigger. frustrating!!

but thank you mintmarq for your help. I now know how to use photobucket

This is still a size issue. If the photo is large enough, then the box will appear and you can click on it to enlarge the picture to it's original size but if the photo isn't large enough no box will appear.

For example, both of these were done on my scanner but scanned in different resolutions.

Before you ever transfer them to "Photobucket" is where you can mess with the resolution I believe. For me, that's in the "Kodak Center".
Perhapse you're able to in Photobucket as well....I don't know.

My resolution has never been perfect, but I think a lot depends on your "camera" too.......and your ability to use it for coins in the right way. Which really will happen with just good ole' fashioned practice ! ...

eaglefoot is right. You can mess with the resolution before uploading them. Play with the macro setting on your camera or set your scanner to higher quality. Play around until you find what works for you.
