I found this metal and suspect it might be an advertising token from the Standard Oil Company,but do not know that. Does anyone know more about it.

The diameter is 1.25 inches. It probably came from some of my family that were either did car repair or operated gas station, but I am not sure of that, and suspect that it was from the forties or perhaps a little earlier.

It is the standard oil company logo that was on some signage and the globes on the gas pumps. probably a little earlier than your guess, as they changed logos a couple of times.
