Found this I a recent world coin lot purchase. There were many UK Large Penny's and 1/2 penny's dating back to the 1880's. Then I found this. I thought it was an UK penny but it was hard to tell as the date and all the writing were completely worn off. The only thing left was a rather scary looking guy on the from and the distinctive lady in the wheel chair on the reverse. After searching I think I came up with King George III 1790 - 1820, 1/2 penny.

What is the general consensus?

I agree. It's looking like a Soho halfpenny of George III (1806-1807) or one of the Canadian "blacksmith" or merchant tokens, some of which used similar obverses and reverses.

From the designs and the exergue line on the reverse under Britannia, I'd say this is a British George III halfpenny of 1806 or 1807. This type was only issued in those two years. Here's one of mine for comparison:

Indeed. George III halfpenny, 1806 or 1807.
Rob has shown his 1806 so, to complete the pair, here's my 1807.

sure looks like the guy, only a but worn. The person who owned this coin must have been a worrier, or just kept it in his pocket for a very long time. Thanks

I think the op's coin was at the battle of Trafalgar when we spanked the surrender monkeys.

As these didn't enter circulation until 1806 that certainly would be some feat!
