Is there a standard for coin vs medal orientation for Oaxaca coinage?
Attributing some Oaxaca 1915 20 centavos last night. The majority were coin orientation, however a GB 334 and a GB 327 were coin, but off about 15%.
Then I found a 20 centavos Amaya OX 96, Woodworth Flores 67, GB unlisted that has a true medal orientation.
Oaxaca, has a reputation of the best made coinage of the Mexican revolution. Did they pay attention to orientation? Are some varieties more scarce than others?
