I started recently getting into coin roll hunting after becoming curious about the pennies in my piggybank and wondering if they could be worth anything more than face value. After that I've become obsessed and have been reading and learning as much as possible about it. It's a thrill everytime I open a new roll just wondering what I'm going to find. I'm trying to collect at least one penny for each mintmark and date so wish me luck. So far I have found one 1944 Wheatie, 1 1996 Canadian, and 1 Euro Cent. A good amount of copper, and a few 2009 pennies which I'm collecting just because it's a single year mintage and they might become a rarity like the 1943 steel cent.

I plan on buying a metal detector soon also. I don't really want to spend money on pennies. The fun is in finding them for me. I might not make a big profit doing this but idk it's a cool hobby

Also Any tips would be appreciated guys if you have any advice. I'm still pretty new to this.

Great! When it comes to numismatics (or really anything) reading and learning is the way to start!

To CCF , metal detecting is a fun way to find coins new and old . If you continue with CRH'ing I would recommend sticking with Pennies and Nickels .

Definitely read and learn. Study and find out history, varieties, etc and that will make whatever you do more enjoyable and save you from making costly mistakes.
