I want to send this coin to PCGS for grading as I think it might grade well. I am not however able to determine find the coin in their dropdown or the ID to submit the coin and I am new to their site. Any advice as how to ID this for sending to PCGS?

The coin weights about 4.51 g and is 22-23mm in diameter.

Any guesses at grade and value are also welcome.

Thank you!

PCGS does not currently grade most Ancients. NGC and ANACS both offer grading for Ancients.

The coin appears to be an AR Denarius of Trajan Decius struck around 250 AD in Rome. RIC IV 20 or similar type.
Obverse: IMP C M Q TRAIANVS DECIVS AVG / radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust facing right
Reverse: ABVNDANTIA AVG / Abundantia standing, facing left, emptying a cornucopia

The obverse is well-centered with a good portrait and style, the legends are fully on the flan if a bit crudely executed.
The reverse is off-center to the west but the entire legend is still on the flan.

Your best bet for valuation is to search VCoins/VAuctions, FORVM, ebay, acsearch, and other web sites to find what similar examples have sold for in the past.
This is a decent example, but I do not think the coin would merit being put into a TPG "slab" if you wish to sell it; it might actually hurt the value slightly since many ancient collectors seem to prefer raw coins and do not like to pay the premiums often associated with TPG slabs.

Hope this helps. I am very much a novice with ancients but there are many, many people on this forum who are far more experienced and knowledgeable than I; doubtlessly, they can correct me, or add further information.

Best of luck!

Save your money, as paralyse stated only NGC grades ancient coins. While this is a nice looking coin, it would coast more money to have it graded than what it's worth. This is a fairy common Antonininus (double denarius) of the late Roman period. The silver content is reduced from the earlier denarius. I would estimate the value to be about $60. The cost of having it graded would be close to that and not add any more value to the coin.
