Yes indeed. Obverse legend: MAXIMIANVS NOB CAES, reverse legend GENIO POPVLI ROMANI (Spirit of the Roman People), mintmark PT.

The name "Maximianus" might make you think this is a coin of emperor Maximianus, but the titles NOB CAES instead of IMP AVG indicate this must be a coin of a junior emperor, or Caesar, rather than a senior emperor, or Augustus, and emperor Maximianus was never ranked Caesar.

This is in fact a coin of Maximianus' friend and junior emperor, Galerius, who happened to share his mentor's name. I believe the PT mintmark is from the city of Ticinium, now known as Pavia in northern Italy.

Sap,
THANX for the info. You are truly a wealth of info.
When I searched Wildwind - 'MH IMIHNUSNOBCHES'
That is why I had no hits. - I think your input is helping some - I was at least close - 'missed by that much'. LOL

Yes, this one must be post-Trajan per Sap's interesting post on another coin on bearded emperors.
