I got some rolls of UNC 2012 Canada Small Cents from a friend in Canada. Both magnetic and non magnetic. I don't really see any major errors or varieties listed for this year so are these even worth opening or should I just put these aside for a few years?

All opinions welcome.

Thanks...Mont

I don't see any point opening them. As you said, nothing to look for.

Thanks you both.

I plan on opening them sometime in the future to see if there are any really high grade ones that may be worth sending in. I will definitely search for varieties too. For now though they will be put aside

I do have another question though. These rolls are wrapped in clear plastic. I have only seen paper wrappers. Are these the way they come from the mint or are they some form of home wrapping?

The mint rolls from the RCM are mainly in plastic shrink forms except for some special occasion paper rolls like last years 150 celebration rolls. the 2012 pennies were very much hoarded, except for an error there never be any value but face
