I bought a roll of un-circulated 1954D wheat pennies at the coin shop today. These pennies are gorgeous! Hopefully I found a DD. I see it in "GOD" and the date..the "R" in liberty is long on the right leg, the L in liberty isn't right either. What do you all think?

That's not a Doubled Die. I suggest that you read up on Doubled Dies here. http://doubleddie.com/58222.html

Thank you Errers, I have been reading and watching videos on double dies. I hope I dont frustrate experts like yourself with my pictures "I think" could be something":) The double die is so hard for me, the "God" on my coin looks the same (to my untrained eye) as a double die. I'm trying to understand the difference, however the verbiage that is used is hard to understand. I need to see if the old children's show Mr. Rogers ever had an episode where he visited the mint:)
Rest in Peace

Read these, maybe it will help. It's all where you look and what part of the device you look at. It may be a boon if you first would have spent 2 hours studying the 1954D DDR/DDO's and RPM's on a site like http://varietyvista.com/ before you dive into the roll of coins. That way you know WHAT to look for, instead of the haphazard of trying to find it all over a coin.

BTW, hope you're watching Coop's videos, most others on u-tub aren't very good.

Don't want to overwhelm you Rabbithole1,but there are a lot of doubling types. Some have a premium and some not so much. Read this from top to bottom and bookmark so you can reference it again and again.http://koinpro.tripod.com/Articles/...Doubling.htm
Also, please rotate photos properly before posting. Thank you.
