As far as the slab goes, very few serious ancient collectors prefer slabs and they are not going to pay a higher price for a coin in a slab. I am in the process of cataloging my coins, what I paid, when I bought and in some cases I included what recent auctions of similar coins have gone for. If I might suggest one addition piece of information for you to include, it would be the provenance (e.g. who all owned this coin prior to you). orfew Pillar of the Community Canada 1269 Posts	Posted 09/18/2018 4:40 pm Recording your coins is an excellent idea. I have a binder with sleeves. In each sleeve is a picture of the coin, the price paid, the date of purchase, the receipts, and any and all other information I have concerning the coin. At the front of the binder is a letter to my wife explaining all of the above and the names of dealers to contact and to send the coins to after I am gone.
