I found this coin on a flea market in Amsterdam. As someone who is very new to numismatics, I would very much like to hear your opinion.

The only readable text above the portrait said: AVG. GER...
This lead me to believe that this was a coin struck in the name of an emperor (as he used 'AVGVSTVS') who used 'Germanicus' as part of his title.
I only know of Julio-Claudian emperors using this victory title, but perhaps this is just a combination of limited knowledge and wishful thinking...

Thank you in advance,
-C

(the coin measures 34mm in diameter)

Just the apparent length of the legend indicates Trajan !
Together with the outline of the portrait it is without doubt the great generalissimo Trajan

Looks like Trajan and I believe I can see [TRAI]ANO AVG GER, the full legend being something like IMP CAES NERVAE TRAIANO AVG GER DAC PM TRP COS V P P. Compare it with this Trajan sestertius from the internet:

My guess is Hadrian.. some of his coins have a similar legend to Trajan's..
Like IMP CAESAR TRAIAN HADRIAN OPT AVG GER DAC for instance...

Thank you so much for all of your opinions, I looked up Trajan's sestertius and it looks exactly the same. I would also like to know if it is possible to see whether or not a coin is genuine, and if so, what one should look for when not buying from reliable dealers.
