I found this quarter years ago on a salt water beach or in the ocean and like most silver coins exposed to salt water is oxidized black, but unlike hundreds of others that I've found this one has a bright gold toning that has increased over the years that I've had it. I would guess it is too damaged to be of interest to collectors, but I am curious to learn whatever I can about the increasing bright gold toning.

I just wish it wasn't damaged by oxidization.

Unfortunately, there's nothing you can really do to improve your coin, but it's still a great find!

Thanks.

I like it because it is unique in my coins. I have no other silver coins with such a bright gold toning.

I have some taken from cold salt water lakes of MN that have a gun metal blue toning with no corrosion damage to the metal. I like those too, but this gold is much nicer and more unique to me.
Rest in Peace
