TBR Valued Member United States 119 Posts	Posted 09/15/2018 09:14 am I found this quarter years ago on a salt water beach or in the ocean and like most silver coins exposed to salt water is oxidized black, but unlike hundreds of others that I've found this one has a bright gold toning that has increased over the years that I've had it. I would guess it is too damaged to be of interest to collectors, but I am curious to learn whatever I can about the increasing bright gold toning. I just wish it wasn't damaged by oxidization. I have some taken from cold salt water lakes of MN that have a gun metal blue toning with no corrosion damage to the metal. I like those too, but this gold is much nicer and more unique to me.
