I'm 48. This is a great post. I belong to 2 coin clubs. Our local York Coin Club has around 38 members and we typically get 25 at each monthly meeting. In that group I am one of the youngest members. I also belong to our neighboring club the Red Rose Coin Club. There we have over 200 members and get 50-70 at each bimonthly meeting. At that one I am not the youngest but about 25 percent of us are under 50. I think this post is showing me that older collectors like clubs and shy away from computers and younger collectors shy away from clubs and like coin collecting camaraderie thru the computer.

35 here. At least for another 2 months, then I guess I'm pushed into the next age bracket :)

I like to think that this hobby keeps me young - I've been back at it for a little over 3 years after a hiatus of 20 years. There's still so much to learn, yet I'm having a great time in the process!

I'm 25 and have been collecting coins about 12 years now. First started with Finnish coins and then turned to Darkside (looong time ago).

Fifty nine here. Started in 5-6 grade during summer vacations. Something to do. Sure could find 'stuff' back then.

18. I've been collecting my whole life. My mom's co-workers knew I collected and when they traveled, they would bring me a coin or two from where ever they went. Back then, it was just, "look dad, a Wheat penny, I'm gonna keep it." But in the past year or so it has exploded. Now I'm searching through rolls of coins from the bank and going to the coin shop weekly.

That's not a question you ask a lady!

Anyway, in September, I'll be the same age as the year I was born.
