Hi there again guys!Whilst doing my usual ebay research I came across this taler, which, without even comparing it to a 100% genuine one, looks very dodgy to me.I will ad that the same seller sold an J.Georg ,Saxony 1624 taler with the same patina and same type of damage(see the positive feedback). Not too long ago, can't remember if the same guy,but was also sold a Sigismund Bathori taler with the same ''features'' that seem to appear on different taler types!Looking forward to some thoughts as we should do our best and prevent people from buying so many forgeries(can't stop them all,can we?).The ebay link:

The guy writes in German "A private sale, without guarantee and returns".

You can skip the guessing about the authenticity once you read such a statement.

It is like flipping a coin with two heads.

coinworldtv I have translated the description before posting here,so yes, this adds to the fact that he's trying to place a forgery! The S.Bathori taler I was mentioning was sold for around 400£ if I'm not wrong and the J.Georg one for 130£ so someone is making some money with this ugly fakes unfortunately!!
