Finally took the time to go looking. Hard to find time in the summer with the heat and work. Well I went to 2 parks and after 6 hours of looking I did manage to find a little bit.

The vaseline jar was next to a dime I was digging at the base of a big tree. I actually put a small nick in the rim. Didn't know it was there. Best I can tell it is from the forties. It stands 2 1/2 inches tall.

Yes it was alot of up and down. I probably dug just as much junk as I did coins. I was happy to call it a day. Not as young as I used to be. Now if I could only find this much every time I went out I would be in heaven.

Hey Mike do you have and/or use a small 4" or so coil? Sure helps in those trashy areas.

The bottles older than the 40s. That bottle is from around 1900-1920. The bottle is worth about 10 dollars.

No Shamrock I don't. I have yet to get one. I have the 9x8 that came with my Tesoro. My whites has a 9.5 coil. It does get aggravating at times. There is one park here that I don't look anymore just for that reason. Can't move without it going nuts with all the trash.

Thanks 1913-V for that info. I wasn't to sure of the date. I only found 1 reference and that was on ebay which I take that with a grain of salt.
