Thanks for all the feedback guys! Although the issue with the Morgan is unfortunate, I'm encouraged by the possibility that the mark on the quarter could have resorted from a fault in the die.

Could someone please point out what's going on with the quarter? Sorry, but all I see area few dings and scratches....

Right leg of the A and the P below it. I say the coin is scratched, others here believe the die was scratched. In my previous posts I explain why I believe the coin is scratched.

Looks like post minting damage (scratches) to me. I agree with your analysis on why this is PMD.
