I didn't have too much direction collecting, mainly what caught my eye, but after I got a 1911 d quarter eagle, I decided to put together a set. The 11d is graded 62+ so I am going for the rest to be at least better than that.

Anybody else have a set?
I'm like obsessed with this.

Nice start. The 1914 Philly is very underestimated and difficult. Having put 2 of these sets together, I should know. Good Luck.

Would LOVE to see pictures. (not showing up on my end for some reason) $2.5 indians are my favorite series. I have not put together a set though... just purchase individual examples I like. I have a nice example of the second semi-key date, 1914 in MS64 CAC, and a few other more common dates that are either MS65 or MS64. When you make the jump from 64-65 it seems that the coins luster changes and becomes more holographic looking in spots, especially above the head.

I started to put a set together as a side project @ 2 1/2 years ago. Took me about a year of finding nice enough coins in PCGS MS62-64. The only exceptions were the 1914 P58 and 1911-D P55 as they were both great looking for the grades. It was a fun project, but I sold them all a few months after completion to make room in the SBD for a couple other purchases.

I have an almost complete set of gold Indians. I'm just missing the 11d. It's just too expensive for me right now. All of mine are graded by NGC problem free in AU-55 to MS62.
