Heres a 500 mark coin from Germany's Bavarian mint 1923, a turbulent year, including the Beer Hall Putsch by the Nazi's and the beginnings of a severe economic downturn that eventually led to the Nazis taking power.  Heres a nickle 50 Reichspfennig from 1939, the very same year they switched to aluminum for the coin and demanded all the German citizens to return their nickle coins for the war effort. Its also the year they included the Swastika, which is an ancient symbol meaning "good luck" , but of course the Nazi's co-opted it as a hated symbol of German aryan'ism. Compared to a 1921 50 phennig Berlin mint.   Quote:

The Shoguns were the military rulers of Japan, who for hundreds of years controlled the island nation. The silver 1 Bu (Ichi bu Gin) is approximately 24mm x 16mm. It was issued from 1837 until 1868. It includes an official countermark on the reverse.
