I just bought 3 silver Maples from Monument Metals and I'm posting it here because I did add something to my stash but I also wanted to tell everyone they are having a special of 3 silver maples per customer for $110.31 which comes out to $36.77 each. And that you can't beat anywhere. I bought a smattering of 1 oz coins and bars. Maples, Koo-Koos "finally",3 Silvertown bars with different designs, a few more Britannias, 5 1921 BU MSD's for the heck of it, junk 1/2 dollars. I had some fun with it since it was time to replenish my silver stack. I feel it in my bones its a mistake to not buy more gold but even with the dip the prices of 1 oz'ers make my knees weak.

Silverskunk, I'm afraid to invest in any medal. I have a very small stash that I bought years ago at a decent price; that's how far I will go at this time. But, I will buy a round or two from time to time, nothing big.. Good Luck to you!

But, I will buy a round or two from time to time, nothing big.. Good Luck to you! The money I use to buy bullion and numismatics is money I'd have just sitting around in a checking account or low interest money market type account, both of which is pretty stupid. This assuming I didn't spend it on things like guns, boats, cars, and other toys. All Of which I either have stacks of already or have had and really dont need anymore. Here let me show you something. When I volunteered to serve my country gold was at about $109 an oz, a price I could easily manage monthly even on a 3 stripers paycheck. Its now $3,319 and has been up to $3,500. Now I'm in my late 60's and had I had the foresight to buy some monthly, or the silver that cost $4 an oz, just imagine the wealth retention I would have right now ? In comparison to a $USD that has lost more and more value during the same time span. When I was a kid a buck would get you into the bleachers. A seat that would now cost you $35 or more if you were lucky enough to find one. Do the math. Metal isn't an investment to me because I will never cash any of it in. Instead its a Legacy to leave my wife and kid after they bury me, along with the other investments Ive made, which includes a house thats worth a ton. Its called "diversification" because more and more currency ain't worth a darn anymore. America, and Americans, owe a massive amount of money and one day the check will be due. The mere fact that gold and silver is so expensive is telling us something.
