Darth Morgan Pillar of the Community United States 2815 Posts	Posted 04/25/2019 10:43 pm 2003 .925 silver commemorative coin set celebrating Israeli Independence and their space program. The obverse of each coin depicts the "Shavit" rocket with different satellites depicted on the reverse. The 1 Sheqel coin shows the Ofeq Satellite, and the 2 Sheqalim coin shows the Amos Satellite. These aren't merely an artist's conceptual renderings but actual satellites placed in orbit. There is also a gold 10 Sheqalim coin featuring the Eros satellite on its reverse. I love the designs of modern Israeli coins, especially their commemoratives. This is probably the start of a new sub-collection.
