To pay for oil? Couldn't they just write a check?

1945/46 Saudi Arabia £4 I really find these types of pieces, as well as the assayer Gold round type things very interesting.

Dorado... Nice Franklin half dollar. I feel those coins don't get the love they deserve. I like them.

Visited my LCS today for the first time since December (it only reopened yesterday after Lockdown). He didn't have many new things in stock, but I found this 1906 Swiss 2 francs in one of his trays. He had priced it at £7 and accepted my offer of £5. For a biggish silver coin over 100 years old, I feel I did OK.

I just looked it up. The Swiss 2 Franc contains about a 1/4 ounce silver. So, you did pretty well paying only £5.

Got my 1976-S Silver Washington quarter in the mail today! The only coin I am still looking for in the quarter series is a nice 1932 Washington quarter. I hope I will be able to buy one in the coming weeks. Then I can finish the Quarter subset of my 20th & 21st Century Type Set, http://goccf.com/t/395066
