Today at the Bay State Coin Show, I picked up a 1961 Rijksdaalder for my Dutch Type Set and three coins from Austria for my set of coins of composers. Unfortunately, upon closer inspection (at home) I think the coin with the portrait of Brucker is cleaned.

Any suggestion how to easily see if a coin is cleaned INSIDE ITS 2x2? Do I need to bring a humongous loupe?

Nice adds!

I always re-holder my purchases, so I always get a close inspection of the coin raw before it hits an album or a new holder. This excludes my graded coin purchases, of course.

Here is my purchase from today: an 1854 dime. It's not that high of a grade, but I still like it!
