Just picked up an upgrade to my Connecticut commemorative half dollar (seller's pics shown). I had mixed emotions about upgrading my existing example; it was only a MS64 but in a "rattler" holder and wearing a gold CAC sticker. I usually sell my upgraded coins, but this is one I may hold on to...   Member of SPMC, FCCB, ANA and ANS. Love the lustrous tree. Fantastic coin @hokiefan! Here are three of my recent coins purchases, from a bygone era: a 1989 1 Ruble coin commemorating Mussorgsky, a 1990 1 Ruble coin commemorating Tchaikovsky, and a 1991 1 Ruble coin commemorating Prokofiev.    |

A bit behind on posting some recent acquisitions... This little denier of the Abbey of Nivelles (modern day Belgium) dates to 1235-1261. The obverse is the facade of what is probably the abbey church. The reverse is a Brabanconne cross with palms in two corners and deeley-boppers in the other two (maybe they are supposed to be croziers or flowers, but I'm still going with what I think  ).
