1995 American Silver Eagle. I've had this coin for quite some time now and I've also notice a change in the toning...getting darker in some areas.

Was this coin partially covered by another coin? That would explain the partial toning

Nice looking. I had one do something similar to that. It was kept in one of those birth year holders and it reacted to it.

1923 Lincoln Wheat cent Penny. Was the reverse sitting on something for a very long time before acquiring it? Not sure. Beautiful Obverse, disappointing reverse.

I like that medal, Dearborn! @Believe7, you can get unpredictable toning when storing coins in a wooden box. Many factors - the wood itself, the type of finish, the lining materials, and the type of adhesives - can have an effect, especially if the coin isn't in a sealed holder. At this point, I find that ASE fairly attractive, but it's likely to continue to darken if kept where it's at.
