1943 S Washington quarter - NGC MS65 - FS501 Trumpet Tail mint mark.

I really like the color and toning on this Geo, nice rainy streaked toning coming down on the eagle.

...I've never before bought a Silver Eagle, but after seeing all of @GLB49's purchases, I figured I'd better buy one before he gobbled up all of them. I bought one raw, but it's flawless as far as I can tell, & I paid the guy what I thought was a decent price ($40) ... I hope these aren't habit-forming. If they are, I'll blame @GLB49 for my addiction
..I used a stock photo here, because mine didn't want to come out of it's Airtite container, & I didn't want to damage it, as it's spotless, as far as I can tell ... I really like these coins ... uh oh ... feel an urge to buy another coming on, so ... I gotta go ...

Congratulations on acquiring your first Silver Eagle, mrwiskers. May it be the first of many.
The price is very good for a first year in the condition you described. I will admit that Silver Eagles are very addictive and your collection will grow quicker than you expect. But, if you're going to be obsessed with a coin the Silver Eagle is the way to go.
I'm looking forward to photos of your second Silver Eagle.

You're welcome, mrwiskers. Silver Eagles are readily available and the prices are very reasonable. You can find the last four or five years priced at $29 to $34 and that's brilliant uncirculated.

That's the only problem I find with this forum and a paper money forum I'm a member of . A few members on this forum, who will remain nameless, have had a significant influence on me diving head-first into new collecting adventures.
