=> nice presentation, Dawg! Im thinking that 9 outta 10 people would proabably have stacked those coins 5-4-3, or 4-4-4 ... but you went for the 5-3-4 punch => I like it! Ummm, I'm sure hoping that " inherited" means => gonna keep 'em safe and then pass them on to my next of kin!? ... that's going to be very cool, when I tell my nephew that some of the coins were from his Great Grandmother (how cool? => cool) Nice Coins!

My favorite is the United Arab Republic one, with three sides (last three images) .

Why yes, there ARE three sides to every coin! The obverse, the reverse, and . . . Sorry for not including the other side of the Egyptian coin.. my antique camera ran out of floppy disc space while I was shooting the group. Here it is: And please forgive my incompetence, but I cannot find that 1958 sword/eagle coin in any of my references.. it strongly resembles Egyptian coins of that time, but not listed in Krause there, nor under U.A.E. Halp?

It's United Arab Republic (not Emirates), a short lived alliance between Egypt and Syria. They minted their own coins though. You can find yours under "Syria", KM# 88 (it's silver, by the way).

Thanks, svslav. No wonder I couldn't find it. Oddly enough, my 6th edition Krause has no listings for U.A.R. or Syria. It's as if that country as we know it doesn't exist! (Which is probably the great hope of many living there right now..)
