Another upgrade for my complete set of classic silver commemoratives. I don't normally upgrade examples where I already own a gem graded example, but I do make an occasional exception when MS65 or even MS66 examples are very common. This is the case with several of the later issues, such as this 1947-S Booker T. Washington commemorative. There are hundreds of examples graded MS66 at both NGC and PCGS, but MS67 examples are a bit tougher to come by (53 by NGC with 5 plus grades, and 2 higher; 47 by PCGS with 5 plus grades, with none higher). I thought the eye appeal on this one was quite nice, with just a bit of peripheral toning.  Member of SPMC, FCCB, ANA and ANS. Thanks, GLB49 and Marve65! One thing I'm careful about when upgrading is to make sure the replacement has better eye appeal than the one being replaced and not just a higher grade. That's a sentiment you'll often see expressed by others in this forum. Since the coins I'm replacing were already fairly carefully chosen, often many years ago, each upgrade take me a lot of time to find "just the right one"!
