...posted on "around the world" yesterday ... just acquired this cut piece. this was originally a 1/2 real, but was cut down in circulation to 1/4 real (.8g) weight ... whoever trimmed it took care to preserve the cross ... most unusual is the fact that the dies align @12:00 / 12:00 ... die alignment was not a factor in producing these crude pieces, so that was probably just a coincidence, but not something that one sees very often & gives this little 'bit' a bit of interest ...  |
