So to start off, I'm not a coin collector at all I just happened to be sitting here and notice something off with one of my toonies on my desk so I looked into it a little but I though experienced advice would be good.

Canadian-2018-Polar-Bear-Toonie,-Possible-Error's,-Please-Advise.

So that's what its supposed to look like but mine has bumps on the inside of the rim where every letter and the maple leaf on the outer rim where punched unlike the pristine one above, mine also has a significantly thinner rim on one quarter of the edge.

Sorry the picture of my coin isn't that good but any thoughts?

Almost sure if you flip the coin on it's rim the bumps will line up to the edge lettering

to CCF.

Agree with john100. Deformation from applying the edge lettering. It is quite common.

I agree with the others, it is a function of displaced metal from the edge letters, which are placed on the rim prior to the strike.

AmaraTheSilent there is a group of twoonies collects . what they are looking for is if the security mark.that is on the side of your coin. if it is facing up with the reverse or towards the obverse. they list them as A or B. the other thing they are collecting is if. there is any miss spelling caused buy pressing. what I have seen from them. the maple leafs on the side of the coins. some of the twoonie it looks like a T. these coins are selling really well. make sure to look your coin over closely. have a great one
