1960's bill in rough condition is only $15 at best, the halves in that condition about $5.50 tops each, about even, could a done better on that bill.

No bargain. A loser if you try to sell that note, you would be lucky to get over face.

Silver is selling around 10x face and I wouldn't pay a premium over face for the $10. So you paid on the high side, but not really a ripoff assuming you didn't have to pay sales tax or shipping.

Today 10/2/18 the silver content of those Halves is $5.31 each . The bill is circulated and was folded . Maybe $1.00 over face on a good day . But don't sweat it as long as your happy .

As to the purchase, great. Obviously you value them for something other than monetary. Second, you're happy enough to have shared your find with us. Isn't that why we're all here chatting? As for the cost value, about average.

The note is a spender and you've got $11 or so in silver. Bad deal.

T-bop, the $10 is still $10, so its more like $18 for 2 circulated Frankies, $9 a piece isn't a great deal but it's not breathtakingly awful. It's be hard to find less than 12-13X right now, so he paid like $6 too much at most
