So I found this 1982 small date copper penny and on the reverse side it has lines running from 3 of the corners to rim. Also on part of rim is way much thinner than other almost as if it didnt have rim in the one area. Can anyone give me some lessons on whats up with coin? Pleaseeeee

to CCF! Those lines are die cracks, yours are very nice and may be bi-secting (can't tell). Check out this link for more info! http://www.error-ref.com/die-crack-rim-to-rim/

Are die cracks like this worth holding on to?

It's a good example of a Die Crack.

Sometimes. In this case the die cracks are in common areas on the coin. You might want to hold on to it as a reference piece. Is that the true color of the coin? Looks pinkish, that would mean it was harshly cleaned.

It's been harshly cleaned, note the pink color.

Those are die cracks.

Because of the cleaning, it's worthless now (worth face value). Only use 100% pure Acetone next time.

The coin is actually not a pink color its like a shiny goldish bronze color.

These pics do not convey an original surface - perhaps you could try again.

If you cleaned them, then I'm guessing the photo color is quite accurate. Next time, only soak coins in 100% acetone (available at hardware stores/Dollar General/etc.) to not damage the surface of the coin for the worse.
