I just got a microscope to take close up pics of my coins. I wanted to see what a junky worn coin looked like under it..so I pulled out this black 2001 nickel, it actually was in alot better shape than I thought. If wear didnt turn this coin black what could have?

It is stained, ED. The design change in the 90's made all Business strikes with full steps, real easy to find past 1993. the harder ones are the older pre-1975's. Some years are near impossible to find even a four stepper, the working dies were all very older designs from worn out master hubs.
