I did a search, but didn't locate a previous post of the Daniel Boone Bicentennial half dollar. So... Double headgear on the reverse! If you'd like to learn more about the Boone Bicentennial commemorative half dollar, check out my previous post on it: 1934 Daniel Boone Birth Bicentennial.

I couldn't find a post for the 1921 Missouri Statehood commemorative half dollar in this thread, so I'm adding one now. (I apologize if I've duplicated someone else's post!) Headgear on both sides of the coin! Coonskin hats for everyone! If you'd like to learn more about the Missouri commemorative half dollar, check out my previous post on it: 1921 Missouri Half Dollar

Here's one that features a fur hat as part of the coin's obverse and reverse designs. 1936 Elgin, IL Centennial Half DollarThis 1936 commemorative half dollar marks the 100th anniversary of the founding of Elgin, Illinois; the coin was also meant to be a fundraiser to support the casting in bronze of the city's Pioneer Memorial statue (seen on the coin's reverse). To learn more about the Elgin, IL Centennial half dollar, have a look at: 1936 Elgin, IL Centennial.

Sir Walter is looking very dapper on the coin's obverse! The coin commemorates the 350th anniversary of the short-lived 1587 English colony at Roanoke Island, NC as well as the first child of English descent born in America -- Virginia Dare. The settlement came to be known as the "Lost Colony" when the original settlers were nowhere to be found when supply ships returned in 1590. What happened to the settlers has never been fully determined, though a plausible scenario has emerged (see thelostcolony.org for more information). 1937 Roanoke Colony Memorial Half Dollar I've posted several times about the Roanoke half dollar, check them out via Read More: Commems Collection.

Here's another conical hat coin from the classic US commemorative coin series. 1936 Rhode Island Half DollarThe coin is the work of Newport, RI artists John Benson and Arthur Carey. The obverse features Roger Williams - wearing a tall, conical hat - being greeted by a local Native American as he lands his canoe at the mouth of the Moshassuck River; Williams would found his settlement along the east bank of the river. The reverse of the coin depicts "the shield bearing the anchor of Hope" as seen on the state's Seal. You can read more about the Rhode Island half dollar here: 1936 Rhode Island Half Dollar. Even more can be found at Read More: Commems Collection.
