I have no background, sorry.
Coin is golden in colour.
Diameter is 1.7 cent. But irregular.

Any help would be great, thanks.

It's an ancient Roman deification coin; based on the crude fabric I'm 99% sure it's Claudius II Gothicus.

Indeed, it is Claudius II Gothicus, the metal is brass (Orichalcum to the romans). This is a common posthumous issue of his inscribed DIVO CLAVDIO // CONSECRATIO, commemorating his deification. The square business is a fire altar, the pointy bit (facing down in your pictures) is the flame atop the altar.
