Ok here is what I would if it was me. Do what you will though. I would sell them on ebay. You will get more there than a dealer. If you can find a collector then that might be a better option than ebay.

1. Morgans and Peace dollars would be fine to sell as a lot on ebay. I would guess you would get around $100-120 for the six of them minus shipping, paypal, ebay fees.

2. I would do a V nickel lot and Buffalo nickel lot. They are all just common dates, so I would guess around 50cent ea in bulk.

3. Barber I would do the same as the nickels just group them buy type and sell them. I would guess around 13x face value.

4. Ben Franklin halves. I would get a whitman folder and sell all the singles as a starter set

5. Walking liberties the same thing. The extras I would roll in groups of 20 and sell by the roll.

6. The Standing Liberty quarters, the left over Franklins and Walking liberties I would through up as a lot under collection for XX Face value of 90% silver.

You have a lot of 90% silver, but nothing is super rare. I would guess you would get 13x face - shipping cost of mail the different packages and ebay/paypal fees will cause you around 10% or so I would guess you clear around 10-11x face value.

These prices are estimates and a lot of factors will affect them. That is just my thoughts. Good luck.

Thanks, this is the type of advise I need. I still have rolls and rolls of quarters and dimes from the 30's to 60's. I am going to sort those also. Sounds like the silver value is more than the collectors value. When I looked a few months ago I thought the silver value was more aroung $15-$17. I will need to keep watch on that factor more than the collectors.
Thanks again for the good advise. I am going to keep at this for a while.

unless they are in very good shape commons are usually considered junk silver and sell price close to spot price.

The nickels of course are not silver.

jang, I know you said 'fair to good' condition on your coins, but these are words coin collectors use to describe coin with a great deal of wear. A 'Fair' coin would have very few details visible and is a step above 'Poor'. I suspect the average condition of your coins is better than fair. Pictures would help--many of the dates you mention on your list carry premiums over their silver value the higher their condition, so there may be some coins you want to break out and sell individually, if you are, in fact, going to sell them. In the absence of condition information, it's hard to give advice beyond calculating the bullion content and a certain minimum for each other type of coin.
