Hey. I searched the internet for a bit but couldn't find anything on what this coin thing could be. It's slightly larger than a penny. And looks to be copper. It just says "1933 UNITED STATES OF AMERICA". It has an eagle holding up a shield. There is nothing on the back. So what is it? Anything helps! I'm really curious! Thanks! -Shannon

I can't get a better picture without going over the megapixel restrictions or whatever. I don't know how. Sorry

I think it's a Philippine 1 centavo during the US Admin period with the obverse reverse ground off.
(Sap, LOL...at least you had the reverse right)

Looks like the obverse of a US-Philippines coin. The Philippines were a US colony at the time. The 1 centavo was the only copper (bronze) coin in 1933.

There should be traces of the reverse, a seated figure with a volcano behind him. I have a very worn Philippine cent, and it's very hard to tell that it's there, but it is indeed there.

If there's no trace of the reverse at all, perhaps that side was smoothed away.

Edit: KurtS beat me to it. Gotta type faster...

Yeah I looked up the coins you guys think it is, and that is what it looks like. The back is completely worn, I can't see a trace of anything. Thank you both for the info!
