1982 D Small Date Copper Alloy Lincoln Cent 3.10g

This Lincoln Cent has an error causing some distortion in the date however the curve in the #2 along with the fact that the lettering on the entire obverse is smaller than all the large date cents I have and the #8 seems bulkier but it appears to have some type of doubling maybe Machine Doubling I'm not sure. Ive placed the coin aside a small & Large date cent & from what I can tell its a small date. Would love more opinions

That looks like a large date with damage from circulation.
