Three days in and no sign of a sell out. Like others before more said, a big disappointment. Not really interested in such a recent design, plus it is not really a silver dollar. It does not go with the rest of the renewed silver dollars since the silver dollar series ended in 1967.

Only bought one to continue the series. If it was the 1958 design I would buy as many as I can.

The slow sell out of the renewed dollar just point to a lack of demand for it as few are buying them to flip. Every renewed dollar since the 1st has declined in value on the secondary market. Especially since they increased the mintage to 4000 coins.

Colonial Acres has 14 in stock. It also doesn't appear Mario95Coin has sold any ebay. The demand for a renewed silver dollar non silver dollar is just not there. Hopefully they mint the 1958 silver dollar next year - that one would look fantastic with the gold accent.

RCM State of the Art Set - $239.95 - 1 Coin from the Business Line - One each from Numismatic, Bullion, Canadian, and Foreign circulation.

OK, looked at this today for the first time. What is the point of this set? Or am I really missing something here?

When similar sets were used as internal RCM employee appreciation gifts/rewards, they made sense - a set that contained a coin from each of the Mint's business units was a good idea.

As an overpriced set for the general collecting community - not so much. If a collector wanted to, he/she could assemble a similar set for noticeably less.

The polar bear coin design - I'm still processing that glacial design

@Electrum - I would keep "processing" instead of "purchasing".

Received the "Dimensional Nature: Polar Bear" coin this week, and immediately sent back. Way too gimmicky for me... the bears beneath the water surface look like stickers, and there's very little "coin" visible, given the application of the water surface.

I honestly think I've returned more defective / unsatisfactory product in the past month than I have purchased... Pending 2019 Master's Club Status: Tin.

I stopped collecting new product in 2016. I was really bothered to receive promotional material in the mail with "we miss you" on it to my home address, amongst other things.

I'll just stop processing - just too much mashed up silver to bear.
RCM trying hard to come up with something new - gets harder each year...lots of miss - fewer hits for 2018.

@canadian_coins, the problem as you have illustrated is that the really good ones seem to be small in number. You can't have 300 winners a year, and as a result the good ones are diluted in a sea of ordinary or worse.

@oriole
My previous purchase was the 2018 Armistice dollar and it was a complete disaster. I had to return the same coin twice. I only buy a couple coins a year now so my sample isn't significant. But that coin is stunning!
