On second look. The cracks look darker than the rest of the coin. Possible ink or other debris. May want to treat with acetone to see if the cracks disappear,

MS12, thanks for the reply but I thought cleaning was a no-no?

As a general rule,do not clean coins. Pure acetone is fine.

Nice die cracks

Conserving a coin by soaking it in 100% pure acetone is fine.

SilverDollar, thanks for the reply. How long could/should a penny be soaked in acetone? After reviewing various posts etc. I guess die cracks, with some exceptions, do NOT add value to a coin? Still nice to collect.
